We provide sessions and support for pupils ages 4-11 who are flexi-schooling with agreements between school, SENCO and parents where children are currently on roll at the school in the usual way but attend school part time. Flexi-schooling’ refers to a combination of school attendance and part home education. Pupils can receive an alternative education provision in our calm setting.
There are a number of factors why parents may want to arrange flexi-schooling for their children, for example:
-
- Illness and physical disability
-
- A desire to home educate while making use of school education part time for some subjects
-
- Primary school setting refusal due to social, emotional and mental health
-
- Allowing time for integration
-
- A staggered return to learning after an absence for any reason
-
- Social communication difficulties and anxiety
Flexi-schooling is legal, providing the parent is able to obtain the agreement of the headteacher of the school/nursery at which their child is registered at and attends our setting part time for continued learning and support.
