We have a small group of volunteering staff members and student teachers providing help and guidance to our pupils delivering knowledge in a particular subject field and teaching skills in our setting which they develop through training and experience. Staff may lead some activities and deliver our approach to help children become readers.
Volunteering in our academy setting is a hugely valuable and rewarding experience for both the children and the staff member. We provide many opportunities for volunteering here at Brackely STEAM Park Academy, from hearing children read to supporting them with their learning in all aspects of their education.
We have volunteering staff who are teachers in mainstream schools and Scouts including home schooling educator members. Our student teachers can gain opportunities for teaching role responsibilities and experience in the primary education sector and to be passionate about providing a high quality education to those with complex needs.
All staff members and volunteers undertake training in safeguarding. All staff members undertake comprehensive background checks on all staff and any volunteers for whom this is required.
