We offer and support pupils ages 4-11 who are flexi-schooling with agreement between school, SENCo and parents where children are registered at the school in the usual way but attend school part time. Flexi-schooling’ refers to a combination of school attendance and home education. Pupils can receive an alternative education provision in our setting.
There may be any of number of factors why parents may want to arrange flexi- schooling for their children, for example:
- Illness and physical health
- A desire to home educate while making use of school for some subjects
- Primary school setting refusal due to social emotional mental health
- Allowing time for integration
- A staggered return to learning after an absence for some reason
- Social communication disorder and anxiety
Flexi-schooling is legal, providing the parent is able to obtain the agreement of the headteacher of the school/nursery at which their child is registered at and attends our setting part time for continued learning and support.
