At Brackley STEAM Park Academy, pupils have the opportunity to learn outdoors which allows children to develop self-confidence, independence and self-esteem. It’s good for physical health, promotes wellbeing and learning in a less structured environment provides a different learning experience.
During special events e.g. Insect Week, our pupils carry out experiential learning in the outdoors collecting samples, nature and children look after and maintain our grounds. Experiential learning can occur during activities such as play & learn outdoors, role play, exploration of nature and the child’s surrounding environment.
Experiencing the world independently nurtures children to think for themselves through grounds projects, environmental education, self-awareness, recreational and adventure activities, personal and social development programmes, expeditions and team building.
